Chang Ba: Apparel & Merchandise Design

Apparel and merchandise design for Chang Ba (ช้างบ้า), the cult Israeli Thai restaurant chain whose name means "Crazy Elephant." The project brings the brand off the walls and onto people: a black t-shirt featuring the elephant mascot inside a glowing pink circle with yellow lightning bolts and psychedelic mushroom motifs on the front, and the bold brush-lettered rallying cry "JUST MAKE IT CRAZY" on the back alongside the bilingual Chang Ba logo. The identity extends to two headwear formats: a structured snapback and a reversible bucket hat, both embroidered with the pink-and-yellow "CHANG BA" wordmark and a white line-art elephant illustration.

The Challenge

Chang Ba had built a devoted following across northern Israel on the strength of its food and its atmosphere, but the brand lived only inside its restaurants. The challenge was designing merchandise that fans would actually want to wear: pieces that captured the chaotic, joyful energy of "Crazy Elephant" without becoming a walking menu or a generic restaurant souvenir. The graphics had to stand alone as streetwear-quality apparel while remaining unmistakably Chang Ba.
